Virtual Production Test

Craft Spain implemented new virtual technology on a test commercial to showcase to potential clients. We scripted and shot a pet food range commercial in the same way we would a real production.

Being able to produce a commercial using virtual technology took us into new territory. This innovative approach could clearly enable us to create and produce things in a much more efficient and sustainable way. From a production perspective we were able to have much more flexibility when it came to light and weather control. In one single day we were able to go from a meadow to being on the moon or in a kitchen. We didn’t have to worry about climatology or times. We could keep a sunset all day and take 20 shots in the same sequence. We were also able to avoid travelling and displacements by grouping lots of locations together, exterior and interior. As well as adding flexibility to the production, this approach lent itself to a much safer and more comfortable environment when shooting animals. Something that may also benefit shoots which requires children.
